Supporting Creativity, Art, & Recovery
Creative expression is a vital aspect of recovery, community and spiritual growth.
Our Mission: To mentor artists in recovery.
We offer: Transformative art-focused retreats, ongoing mentorship, education, lessons in recording, mixing, creative writing, instrumentation, marketing, development of online portfolio, and performance opportunities.
Everything & Nothing
Our 2026 album was created and recorded over 5 days in the Utah Desert. This album blends varied collaborations and styles across its tracks. The record features an eclectic mix of songs—from introspective and emotional pieces like October Again and Underneath The Tree to more playful or experimental entries like Izzy’s Freestyle and Acid & Agony. Featuring all artists in recovery, the diverse vocal and instrumental textures blend their sound to the desert it was created in. Thematically, the album explores contrasts suggested by its title—moments of meaning and emptiness, connection and solitude—drawing listeners into shifts between personal reflection and collaborative energy.
Open Mic Nights
Mentor & Muse hosts an open mic on Sunday every month at First Baptist Church.
As an ongoing commitment to the artists we’ve connected with through Mentor & Muse, we host a recurring open mic to nurture the relationships formed within the program. This space invites artists to share works in progress, explore new ideas, and remain in creative dialogue with one another. It’s a continuation of community — where mentors and muses gather, create, and grow together.
Leap Of Faith - Immersive Learning Program
For some people in recovery, art is a need. In this video summary, get a peak at episode 2 of the films brought to you by Own It SLC and Mentor & Muse. These are stories of local artists learning how to make art after recovering from addiction. These organizations are where art, spirituality, and recovery intersect to spearhead a new definition of what it means to be an artist.
