Mentor & Muse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit branch of Own It SLC devoted to creating a dedicated stage for the soul. We exist for the artist in the in-between — the one healing, questioning, rebuilding, remembering. We believe art is not a luxury; it is a lifeline. It is how grief finds language. It is how silence becomes song. It is how a person remembers they are still here.

Our mission is to cultivate sacred, creative spaces where emerging artists can step out of survival mode and into expression. Through immersive retreats, mentorship, and collaborative projects, we gather in wild and honest places — deserts, stages, rooms thick with story — and make room for what has been waiting to be said. We honor process over performance. We honor courage over polish. We honor the trembling voice that speaks anyway.
